In June, 2017 investigators from Germany came to Minneapolis to record Judy's eye witness testimony as part of an investigation of former SS guards that worked in Stutthof Concentration Camp. Several months later they issued an indictment of two guards for accessory to mass murder. Judy waited another year for the first trial to open in Munster, Germany but that trial fell apart after only a few weeks due to the health of the 96-year-old defendant. A year after that, a second trial opened in Hamburg, and another chance at justice.
